Prevent redirection to trailing slash for folders with index.html

The Pretty URLs docs include this example: /about/index.html -> /about/.

It there any way to, instead, do /about/index.html -> /about ? In other words, no trailing slash.

Hi, @weotch, and welcome to our Netlify community site.

At this time our pretty URLs redirects only to the ending slash for a higher cache hit rate for sites. (Meaning /about will be redirected to /about/ and there will be only one URL to cache, not two.)

We have an open feature request to be able to control this as well. Would you like me to add this community topic as a +1 to that feature request?

Please let us know if there are other questions about this.
