Is there a way to access files on old deployments?

I wish to examine some build artefacts on an old successful deployment. Is there any way we can do so? Is FTP or equivalent enabled on the image? Can we load it (other than deploying it).

I can download the published files as a zip but I want other files.

My specific issues that on a Jekyl site I would like to access the generated gemfile.lock from bundle install. But it sounds like something I might like to do occasionally.

The zip would contain the files that were finally deployed (basically your entire website that was published live). If the file you ask for exists in that, then you can download the zip, but, as you say, you want other files… the simple answer would be, no. There’s no other way sadly.
