I want to verify my netlify site with Brave Rewards

Hey, I have my website hosted on netlify at https://corona-tracker-2020.netlify.com/, I would like to verify it with Brave Rewards, there’s two choices, one is through DNS Records, which I can’t do since I’m using netlify domain name and another option is to place a text file at https://corona-tracker-2020.netlify.com/.well-known/brave-rewards-verification.txt, I tried searching on how to do that but was out of luck, my website is vue build, how can I achieve this? Thank you.

Update: I did try to place .well-known folder inside public folder before running npm run build but still I was unable to get the desired result.

hey @akashrajum - could you place a TXT type DNS entry that would work for this specific purpose?

similar to what is being described here, maybe?

Hey @perry - Thanks for the suggestion but I don’t think I can edit DNS for netlify’s subdomain. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I do not own a custom domain that I can use for this site.

Hi, @akashrajum, it isn’t currently possible to have directories at Netlify which begin with a “.” (a period or dot) so the .well-known folder won’t work.

It also isn’t possible to create custom DNS records for netlify.com subdomains.

The only remaining option at this time would be to register a custom domain and create the DNS record for verification using that domain name.
