I can't log into my account in Netlify

Hi, I was trying to log into netlify a few days ago, and when I logged in with Github, I was greeted with a message saying: " Authentication Error

Authenticating failed due to the following error: We already have a registered user with this email address. Log in to connect your GitHub account." I am already logged into my github and everything and still, it tells me to connect my Github account. I do not know what’s going on; Please help if you can.

Have you cleared cache/incognito and tried again?

how do you do that? I would appreciate it if you told me how I can do that.

Hi, @ExpiredMilk. The usual solution is this.

  1. Login using your email address here: https://app.netlify.com/login/email
  2. After logging in, link your GitHub account here: https://app.netlify.com/user/settings
  3. Logout.

After doing this, the GitHub login should work. If it does not or if there are any questions, please let us know.
