Host Record Setup & Some browsers not working

I have added the starmarkbiz.netlify.com. address under the www host record for the CNAME record type. Issue #1 is that when I type starmarkbiz.com on mobile it doesn’t work. Issue #2 it does not work in any browser except Chrome. Well, now it does not work at all.

Hi, @damerms. I’m showing this is because the domain name starmarkbiz.com is not pointing to Netlify.

I see four IP address when I check:

$ dig starmarkbiz.com A +noall +answer

; <<>> DiG 9.10.6 <<>> starmarkbiz.com A +noall +answer
;; global options: +cmd
starmarkbiz.com.	1799	IN	A	216.239.32.21
starmarkbiz.com.	1799	IN	A	216.239.36.21
starmarkbiz.com.	1799	IN	A	216.239.38.21
starmarkbiz.com.	1799	IN	A	216.239.34.21

Those four IP addresses aren’t at Netlify. This means it never sends any traffic to our systems and we are not able to show any content there.

The instructions for pointing an apex domain to a Netlify site with third-party DNS can be found here:

https://docs.netlify.com/domains-https/custom-domains/configure-external-dns/

If there are other questions about this, please let us know.

In addition to what Luke said, don’t forget that you can transfer your DNS to Netlify from Google, which gives you other niceties such is IPv6, easy SSL setup, etc.
