Extend SSL certificate to new sub-domain

I need help extending the SSL certificate after having successfully followed this guide: [Support Guide] How to use Netlify’s branch deploy feature without Netlify DNS

  • Netlify site name: “dev–skillventory.netlify.app”
  • Target domain: “dev.skillventory.app”

Hi, @ericbergh. The branch subdomain must be a subdomain of the primary custom domain. In this case, that “primary custom domain” is app.skillventory.app. This means the branch subdomain must be dev.app.skillventory.app.

Would you please modify the DNS record to meet that requirement? (Or modify the primary custom domain if you prefer?)

If there are any questions, please let us know.

Hi @luke!

Sorry for that! I think I got it right this time around. Note that we have switched the subdomain from “app” to “dashboard” since app.x.app sounds a bit bonkers

Best regards,

The branch subdomain dev.dashboard.skillventory.app has now been added to the site’s SSL certificate. You should be all set!

Works great, thank you for the help @laura and @luke!
