Do I need an A record for the Load Balancer

Quick question: I transfered my dns settings from Cloudflare. It includes definitions for MX and some TXT records. Do I still need to keep the A record pointing to the Netlify load balancer, 104.198.14.52? I tried removing it and instantly the domain configuration complained that the domain dns couldn’t be verified.

Otherwise, everything is working perfectly.

Hi @strangnet, welcome to the Community!

If you’re managing the DNS records for your domain with Netlify DNS (in other words, you’re pointing your nameservers to us), you no longer need to have an A record pointing your apex domain to Netlify’s load balancer. (And as an extra bonus, requests to your apex domain will now go directly to visitors’ closest CDN node!
:tada:)
