Content Encoding Error using netlify dev with react-scripts (cra detector)

Using netlify-cli/2.11.12 darwin-x64 node-v8.9.4 with a react app. The dev --live site does not render at all and reports a content encoding error. If I curl the live domain I’m getting the expected index.html. This is what curl reports for the headers:

* Connection state changed (MAX_CONCURRENT_STREAMS updated)!
< HTTP/2 200
< accept-ranges: bytes
< access-control-allow-origin: *
< cache-control: no-cache
< content-type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
< date: Tue, 23 Apr 2019 02:29:28 GMT
< vary: Accept-Encoding
< x-powered-by: Express
...

I can preview the site on localhost. I’ve had to bypass the cra detector to use dev live with react and running react-scripts build instead. Any tips?

Hi, @idev. We do want to point out this is beta software and still a work in progress. That being said, would you be willing to please file an issue for this on the public repo for Netlify Dev here?
