Cannot access all Netlify resources from Ukraine

Except for this forum. For several hours already.

ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

Works if I use VPN.

Hmm. We just put some new Russian CDN nodes live which should be serving your traffic. Could you tell me what IP you try to connect to in the browser, and if you can ping it successfully?

Confirm. We cannot access Netlify too.
Please, remove Russian CDN nodes - Russian servers are blocked by our government.

Hmm, that seems a bit shortsighted. Can you give us more details on this block? Is it documented anywhere? At least the Roskomnadzor has a website where they tell you what is blocked :expressionless:

The biggest players blocked - yandex.ru, mail.ru, vk.com. ok.ru

Wow, that’s terrible. Thanks for the clues, though, I understand it is nothing you did or asked for.

Our team is discussing a fix that they’ll attempt to apply tomorrow and I’ll follow up with you in this thread once they come up with something.

Hi,
have the same problem in Ukraine.
As I understand you started to use Yandex servers for CDN (that are blocked in Ukraine because of war).

Thank you for the great product you do.
Love Netlify but new CDNs in Russia made Netlify unusable for me and all Ukraine.

I’ll be glad to have the possibility to use Netlify further.
And I’ll be happy not to transfer all websites to Amazon, Firebase or G-cloud.

Thank you!

Hi there.
We have that problem too and hope for a wise resolution.
Don’t really like to migrate to other services as we love Netlify.
Thanks

Hey folks,

We’ve removed the Russian CDN nodes for now, since they seemed to have a bigger negative impact than positive. We’ll figure out a better solution before we try adding them back to rotation.
