Can not bind domain to my own account

my site name is emilystories.netlify.app
I asked an vendor to develop my site, looks like they point my emilystories.com domain to their test site before. Now they transfer the code and site to me, but can not bind the domain again. your site said “Another site is already using this domain”, the vendor told me they already delete their test site online-profile.netfily.com and test account even.

now the question is, how I can retrieve my domain back? I already make dns change to point emilystories.com to my account new site emilystories.netlify.app.

Appreciate for fixing for me.

I have removed the domain from deleted site (so what the vendor said was true - it had been deleted).

If you still cannot add the domain to your site, please let us know.
